When measurements fall outside of a range or our Predictive Analytics models indicate conditions are right for a problem to occur in the future, our System Assurance Centre personnel — highly educated engineers with knowledge, skills and experience in reviewing power plant condenser data — review all the available data. If they find a need to follow-up, they contact you and/or your Nalco Water sales engineer to determine next steps.
Nalco Water will still provide the full menu of products and services: feeding and controlling the right chemical programme and monitoring key leading indicators. But with this new OMNI Analytics approach, in addition to reporting these technical details, we now can monitor and report the impact of what we do on customers’ big picture metrics, the things their management cares about. We can quickly detect changes in those metrics, the OMNI Condenser Performance Programme is focused on the water treatment aspects of condenser performance, and the OMNI report delivers actionable information that helps customers maintain high efficiency, reliability and low operating costs. So OMNI Analytics changes the conversation from a discussion about leading indicators to a discussion of how the water treatment programme impacts the financial performance of the power plant.
