Artificial intelligence is reshaping how businesses operate, make decisions and create value.

This week, Ecolab was recognized on Fortune's AIQ 75, a list that evaluates Fortune 500 companies on their readiness and ability to deploy AI at scale. Placing among the top 5% of Fortune 500 companies, the recognition comes as Chief AI Officer AJ Wijesinghe joins leaders from across industries at the Fortune AIQ Summit in New York to discuss how organizations are creating measurable business impact with AI.

As part of the summit, AJ Wijesinghe participated in “The Hundred-Year Reinvention,” a main-stage discussion exploring how long-established companies are using AI to improve operations and create value in the physical world. He was joined by Suresh Venkatarayalu, Chief Technology Officer of Honeywell.

Turning AI Into Business Results

For Ecolab, AI is helping accelerate how knowledge, data and expertise are translated into action.

Many organizations have successfully piloted AI. The opportunity now is scaling those capabilities across the enterprise to improve performance and unlock meaningful business results.

“AI creates the greatest value when it helps people make better decisions and improve outcomes,” said AJ Wijesinghe, Chief AI Officer and Senior Vice President, GBS+.

Last year, Ecolab launched Ecolab® RushReady™, an AI-powered program within its Ecolab® KitchenIQ™ platform designed to help restaurant leaders improve shift performance, profitability and guest
satisfaction.

By connecting data from systems such as point of sale, labor management and kitchen display tools, RushReady transforms operational data into actionable recommendations that help general managers optimize prep inventory, adjust staffing levels and prioritize tasks in real time. Backed by Ecolab’s decades of foodservice expertise, these recommendations help operators turn data into action and improve performance across their restaurants.

The program is one example of how Ecolab combines AI-powered technology with human expertise to transform data into practical insights that help customers operate more efficiently, make better decisions and achieve stronger business outcomes.

Putting AI to Work at Scale

The theme of this year's Fortune AIQ Summit is “Putting AI to Work.” For industrial companies, that requires bringing together technology, expertise and deep operational knowledge to solve real-world challenges across complex environments and critical infrastructure.

During the summit, AJ Wijesinghe shared how companies can scale AI across the enterprise while preparing people for new ways of working.

Recognition on the Fortune AIQ 75 reflects the work Ecolab teams are doing to put AI to work across the enterprise.

We are only at the beginning of what this technology will make possible.
