1962 Nalco enters into joint venture in Australia

Nalco enters into a joint venture with ICI of Australia and New Zealand, Ltd., to form Catoleam Pty., Ltd. in Australia.

1964 Nalco to the NYSE

Nalco shares are listed on the New York Stock Exchange.

1969 Champion moves into Canadian market

Champion takes its first step into international business with its Canada affiliate, Champion Northwestern, based in Calgary, Alberta.

1970 Nalco’s Garyville plant begins production

Nalco's plant in Garyville, LA, begins production.

1970’s Champion develops global presence

Champion’s success in Canada leads to opportunities in Iran and the Middle East. The company also expands into Latin America and Southeast Asia, and enters the offshore market in the Gulf of Mexico.
